NeSC > Emulators > Corn > Un/Re-Install
Un/Re-Installing Corn

if you want to...

...here is the procedure to follow. Note that Nemu does not have an uninstall program, so you need to do the job manually.

  1. Backup any saves in the Corn (sub)folder(s)
  2. Backup any ROMs in the Corn (sub)folder(s)
  3. Backup any Preview BMPs in the Corn (sub)folder(s)
  4. Backup your INI if you have modified it
  5. Write down any Corn settings you might forget
  6. Delete the Corn folder
  7. That's it!

The contents of the Corn folder:

Corn02.exe GUI executable
CornH.exe the emulator, P2/K7 optimised
CornL.exe the emulator, P1/K6 optimised
Corn.cfg saves GUI settings
Corn.ini the INI file (ROM settings)
Corn.lan other languages for GUI
Npreview.bmp default preview graphic
Readme.txt documentation for Corn v0.2
whatsnew.txt documentation for Corn v0.29

There are two subfolders:

"Eeprom" stores saves, .epm files (32K or 2k each)

"previews" stores bitmaps (.bmp files) for the GUI preview window. For details of how to set this up see the FAQ

Corn does not use the Windows registry.

If are carrying out a clean re-install of Corn you are now ready to install again as normal. If you were removing Corn from your system, you're done!
