Un/Re-installing UltraHLE

If you want to...

...here is the procedure to follow. Note that UltraHLE does not have an uninstall program, so you need to do the job manually.

  1. Backup any saves in the UltraHLE folder or subfolders
  2. Backup any ROMs in the UltraHLE folder or subfolders
  3. Backup your INI if you have modified it
  4. Delete the UltraHLE folder

files present after a clean install

Ultra.exe the emulator!
Ultra.ini initialisation file (text)
Readme.txt documentation (text)

files generated after use

rspzlist.log RSP microcode log file
ultra.sav quick save file
ultrabak.sav backup quick save file
x.log graphics engine log

other possible files in uHLE folder

UltraHLP.exe an addon utility
ultra.kwl file generated by UltraHLP
glide2x.dll a glide wrapper

UltraHLE does not use the Windows registry. If you were using a glide wrapper, that probably did use the registry - if you want you can search for and delete the key, but it wont do any harm to leave.
